Doggie Love
Yesterdays post received quiet a few emails after readers saw youtube video's of the hero dog that pulled his friend from the side of the freeway after being hit. It really woke Amber up to something she never expected. She is a full blown dog lover. She was a cat girl years ago, and because she wasn't raised around dogs, she rarely had experiences with them. Once she purchased me, dogs started showing up in her life. Her roomate Annmarie came with Sascha, our huge Golden Retriever, Our scottie dog Jillian came from our friend Terry, and now our home is packed as full as it can be with animals: 3 dogs, a cat Tiffany, and 2 fish named Thelma and Louise. There are days when Amber goes absolutely bonkers tripping over us, wiping up dog hair, feeding us, taking us to groomers, taking away bones as we fight over them etc, but she is learning of a selfless love she never experienced from the animal kingdom. Sometimes blessings come when we aren't asking for them, and don't even think we want them. Dogs and humans together is a beautiful thing, and the magic moments shared between us is priceless. Amber started reading Cesars book about dog-training, and I am getting nervous that she is going to start making us walk more, be more disciplined, and have a more full life, just as she is getting. Cesar said that we reflect our owners like a mirror. So Amber better re-train me quick before people catch on that she is a little finnicky, a bit of a bitch, and always has to have her way. That just wont do anymore as changes are coming.
There are so many things Amber recieved this year that make her feel truly blessed. The funny thing is that alot of things she never would have thought she wanted. Like a real job behind a desk producing Television. Or alot of friends who don't party, or alot of responsibilities, or a disciplined life with coaches leading her way. There is an old song that talks about "If I had her, I wouldn't of found you, thank God for unanswered prayers." These are the best unanswered prayers that Amber could possibly think of. Like having a dog when we would rather have a stuffed animal, sometimes blessings just show up.
