God Switch
This morning the house was more empty as normal because our dog Sascha is gone, and Annmarie is away for Christmas. We miss them, but know they are having a fun holiday. Amber is feeling better and better as each day happens. She feels like she turned her GOD SWITCH on, and as her best friend, it makes my tail wag. She is walking us on leashes, which she avoided before, and spending more and more time staying out of negative feelings, and more into her spirit. Problems are like fleas, but if you treat them daily, and do what is needed, before you know it they are gone. Life is always better without fleas, but when they show up, knowing what to do, is by far a better way to live.
Amber went out with Katia G, Jaime, and Antonia, last night. It is healthy for her to be around these wonderfully gorgeous and loving women. I love them, and am glad they are in our life. The maid has come today, and everything is sparkly, clean, and fresh, but the best news of the day is Allies grade on her finals: (90) What a smart human family I have.
Marcus is coming to see us for the holiday, and we are looking forward to him being in California again. He has to fly back again to work on Wednesday, but is flying back for Christmas. Amber was shocked that he would buy two round trip tickets to be with her again, because her self esteem has been a bit low in the last few months. It feels nice to have someone investing in her being happy, and without any expectations Amber is happy to have the company. He hasn't been to our house in about 9 months, and it will be comforting to have someone we know so well keep us company over the holiday, since Amber is now single and was worried she would be alone for Christmas.Plans are still being made, but we may all go to Amber's grandmothers home to sing carols, and eat alot of food. Or they may just join the MOGG family for dinner. They used to date months ago, and romance is always there no matter if they are in a relationship or not. Amer is going to stay "uncommitted" for awhile since her last break up. But she likes getting pampered by him, he cooks, he does her hair, he makes her do situps...okay, maybe we could do without the situps, but life is love, and having love in all forms is a wonderful thing. This morning an old friend of Amber's was listening to the sound of Music on their way to a hike. It's a brilliant idea that 'when the dog bites, when the bee stings, when you're feeling sad you simply remember your favorite things and then you don't feel so bad...' Amber is glad she is doing some of her favorite things, and is making a list to share with y'all when she finishes it.
By keeping our God switch turned on, and letting our own negative feelings stay out of the way, we are open to new endevours, experiences, and things we never thought possible. By thinking of our favorite things, people, and friends, we are letting God direct our biography and sometimes, it goes the way we would like it to go.
